Probably not a good idea if it posts every time it runs..

Maybe once a month would be more appropriate?  Keep a change log and post
that, or just post a link to a file with the updates?

Anyone running RedHat on a machine that needs timely patches will be
checking the RH updates sites regularly anyway..  And if they're not they've
probably got other problems to deal with and wont be reading this list :-).

The reality with patches in most cases is that the average user can use the
packages that came with their distro forever, and not need to patch the
machine.  It's only people with machines on the 'front line' who should be
watching patches with an eagle eye, or those with a yearning need to run the
latest..
