IMHO the problem is ill defined. All of us are using various significant resources without paying _directly_ because it would be either very inconvenient or very difficult to measure (the usage o the road system, the access to law & order via the police department, etc.; these are generally paid for indirectly). Once you transform things to bits they drop into a new economy, one where it may be difficult to create the first artifact but once created it it trivial to duplicate. A solution will be found but the old guard (which stands most to loose) won't put up without a fight. Cheers, -- Ryurick M.
