Anyone else running a gui desktop on one of the BSD's? I installed the FreeBSD 4.3
version from an iso I downloaded the other day, with kde. I am very impressed with the
speed, and also the ports scheme is impressive. Having realised that 4.4 is available
I have now downloaded that iso and will update tonight. It seems to run faster than
the mandrake 8.1 on the same box, although that could be to do with the number of
services that mandrake seems to be running (I did tick a lot of boxes in the mandrake
install).

(Althought this is obstensibly a linux group, the BSD's are such close cousins, and
open source, that I believe that this post is not OT)
