There are drivers around for the SM200DTP that work with 2.4 kernels. I
was using these, with <2.4.9 on RedHat 6.1, before I dumped Ultra.

Have a look in:
ftp://ftp.ihug.co.nz/pub/ultra/linux/sm200/2.01/

Particularly at:
sm200d_v2.01.24.src.tar.gz

This tarball replaces some of the files in the 2.2 compatible sources,
enabling you to build it for a 2.4 kernel.

I have the source tree that I was building 2.4 compatible SM200DTP
drivers from somewhere. I can dig that up if you have problems...
