Your simulation software should be capabel of saving an image ever X
iterations.  Then string these images together to make a cartoon-like
animation.  If you're fixated on powerpointless then simply put each frame
on a separate slide, with a small time between slides, and turn on
"auto-advance" or whatever.

Personally - I use OHPs and video tape for presentations.

Theres a thought - if you have a video card with composite out, then simply
run that to a video recorder... an analogue solution though.
