IPCop _was_ based on Smoothwall, but is now diverging very rapidly from 
it. A very much better choice as you will get friendly advice to resolve 
your problems instead of a revolting flea in your ear from the 
smoothwall lot.


Can you ping out when the f/w is not in the loop?
I'm just wondering if the ADSL interface box has had the necessary port 
/ pinhole - call it what you will - opened?
