Well, after playing around with windowmaker settings, I discovered that any disabled docking option made the docking clip vanish. So turning 'em all on and restarting WindowMaker cured that.
Hunting down the i2c dependencies for my bttv driver was fun, but I found the right i2c_bit module in the end. The USB was a challenge too, but after I loaded scsi_mod and sd_mod everything works and I can access the Sony DSC-S75 camera directly via USB as a storage device. Neat, huh? What isn't neat is the stack of insmod commands in my /etc/rc.d/rc.local, and I was wondering if anyone had a reference for the documentation that tells you how to construct an /etc/modules.conf file properly.
