I think you need to allow ports 137 and 139 on the lan talk to your machine, although you probably still want to block them on the internet. Probably your firewall setting was blocking these ports. Is this machine connected directly to the internet? If not then you may not need any firewall setting at all, as your gateway should do that stuff.
