Hi it has been suggested to me that I configure a server to use software RAID 1, with two IDE drives, to provide a measure of redundancy. I'm dubious.
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of arrangement: specifically with the RAID performance and the impact on the server? Yes, this is an attempt to d othings on the cheap :-) Slainte Gordon
