I totally agree. However I would go a little further and suggest that if someone wants 
a 
network card they should install it themself, that way if anything breaks nobody else 
is 
at fault (and if they can't screw a network card into their box themself then they're 
probably the kind of user we wouldn't want to be doing that with anyway, right?). 
Another 
suggestion, if you *do* have to open someone's computer wear a static wrist band. I 
never 
wear one when I'm working on my own stuff, just rest my wrist on the case... but if 
you're 
wearing one when you work on someone else's box and it mysteriously starts doing 
strange 
stuff and / or stops working, then you can't be accused of ESD...

But yeah, if we've got plenty of cd burners there then it shouldn't be much of a 
problem.
