Hi guys, Subject says it all really. My little 486 development box is straining a bit with 8Mb, and thats with all non-essential stuff disabled. It takes ages to compile even a small .c file since I upgraded (2.4.5 and a much newer gcc).
Being a 486 it only takes 30-pin or 72-pin simms. Currently I have two 4Mb 72-pin simms in there but they can come out to fit bigger modules if necessary. I want at least 16Mb total but could happily install more if its offered. It must be _reliable_, ie not that dodgy stuff that kept crashing your box. I'm intending to turn up at the installfest with the machine in question, so that might be a good place to do a deal... Cheers, - Dave http://www.digistar.com/~dmann/ (out of date)
