I am working with a device that uses zip to store it's data files. If store that straight to CVS it will have to use binary mode. The zip contains text files and bitmaps, if there is a way to register the extension with CVS and have it execute a script to perform checkout/ins then I could retain valuable functions of CVS diff/merge etc. I am a real CVS virgin still so I am not sure how tricky this will be, however the 1 thing I am learning about linux is that where there is a will there is a way!
Any advice will be (as always) warmly appreciated.
Cheers,
