Hi-ho, Once I've tidied up the backend of the setup I'll be happy to make the code available, I've got to go back and comment it now that it's working... :-)..
If you use the Creative Webcam 5 like I did you'll probably find you have to do some fiddling with webcam or the pwc driver as well, I can supply the diff for what I did to webcam.. At the end of the day it was really simple. Quite a bit of fiddling around figuring it out, but 2 minutes typing to get it right. The Camera came from Corporate Consumables, and was the only Linux supported one I could find at short notice, and it still didn't turn up in time for the installfest, I was hoping to host the webcam there, and let people see what we were doing... Give Michelle there a call, and say I sent you... She was very helpful getting a second 'loaner' webcam after I discovered the picture was backwards so I could fault-find it. It seems that all of the decent quality webcams are hard to come by at the moment, must be quite a bit of demand for them. Cheers, Chris. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Pearce" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Linux" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, August 01, 2002 11:09 PM Subject: Re: Temp webcam - The latest silly project Good Job on the Webcam!!!
