Wanting to see Linux working

Hi, what I would like to do is actually see Linux on a puter and working.  Is this possible?? We are available between 1500 and 1645, is there anyone out there that would be ok with this?  Did I see someone from is it e-cafe?? that was inviting people the other week to view something? And also I ummmmmm OOPSS deleted ALL my e-mail, I see there is something about a CLUG meeting, when is this?? And do you think it would be worth it for a newbie like me to go along to something like that.   Tess
