what's the name of the module?
have you checked whether it's in /lib/modules/* ?

I did a quick search on http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages (box near the
bottom of the page) for sb.o for example, and it appears to be in
kernel-image-2.2.20 ... maybe when you install this it installs a new kernel
too? (I'm running woody at the moment, but I always build my kernels myself
so I'm not sure what the story is here.... and it's a long time since I did a
reinstall). If it installed a new kernel, have you rebooted yet? If you can
find the module you want in /lib/modules/version/* then make sure that
version is the same as the running kernel (cat /proc/version should do it).

Otherwise, grab the kernel source and compile one yourself with all the
modules you want :)

Cheers,
Gareth
