My 2 cents worth.
Yes meeting was AOK and Carl's talk was
good. But for my partner and
I it was a bit much "geek talk", the history was
great, very interesting.
We both didn't realise that Unix/Linux has been
around for that long.
We left early due early morning work commitments
and babysitter etc.
I think we would should start at the beginning
and get around to having
a actual play with Linux, before the "geek talk"
makes sense. I am
doing a computer course, but nothing about
command lines etc as of
yet.
So if the next meeting was solely trouble
shooting with a few computers
showing Linux and showing how Linux in all it's
glory then we would
be very keen keen on
going.
Ok if I have anything else to say, then I will
jot it down.
Right off to make the kids some
toast.
