I installed DG on my home ipcop firewall in accordance with the instructions on the ipcop.org website. (http://www.ipcop.org/cgi-bin/twiki/view/IPCop/IPCopDGHowto)
Now when I cruise to www.sex.com, or anything of that nature, DG kicks in and I get the blocking page. Good-oh. The trouble is on non-blocked web-sites. The client browser just seems to sit there for ages and then times out. If I put the client in the etc/dansguardian/exceptioniplist file and restart DG the client works as normal. Is it possible that my ipcop (P75 with 78M RAM firewalling an adsl connection thru a Alcatel Speedtouch Home/pptp connection capped at 128k) is not fast enough? The hard drive is nowhere near full.
