Andy, ( & other list dwellers )

I'll make an attempt to point you in the right direction......YMMV

You'll need to modify your sendmail.cf(mc) file, usually on RedHat you have
to install the sendmail-cf(something) rpm.
Then its mostly a case of RTFM...Use google, I found some interseting stuff
when I went looking, and then there's sendmail.org for a difinitive.

In a nut shell, from memory you need to do something like

Modify to `masquerade as` your ISP so your email gets dispatched
Identify the smtp server you connect to that does this.

Use the generic|virtual|mailertable files, all found in or around /etc/mail/
now........

to map the local non-internet email with the 'clear' internet email.

I'm in an upgrading mode currently (gateway/mailserver runs RH6.2), I'll be
reviewing all my configuration files over the next week or so, unless more
work gets in the way!!

Part of that review is to find all of my set-up notes which are in one of
the piles of paper here!!

To the other question....define what you mean by long time??? I have
Fetchmail polling mail for six addresses and appear to be getting most of my
mail.

regards, Andrew

While I'm on an EMail trip... Has anyone else run into Fetchmail taking
close to FOREVER to get mail? or perhaps thats just a "me" thing...
