1. can't! I don't have enough HD space. AFAIK it require to write some stuff in the dirs, however what you see there is an illusion, only the iso's and updates are real, the rest is mounted via loopback (to save space) 2. AFAIK up2date can do the same thing as apt-get and is better integrated into the redhat distro. Cheers, -- Ryurick M.
