I got a copy of the O'Reilly book "Web Database Applications with PHP and MySQL" from Amazon a few weeks ago. I also got "Programming PHP" from the same series. My intention is to replace a small CGI database app I wrote in C with PHP and MySQL (partly as a learning exercise). Haven't read the books yet as I'm too busy reading the Javascript book. So I don't know if they're any good. After a quick skim the PHP/MySQL book seems like pretty easy stuff... famous last words ;) The O'Reilly books tend to be pretty well-regarded. This one may have been reviewed on Slashdot recently. Cheers, - Dave http://www.digistar.com/~dmann/
