This is true. However, a number of people (including a report from an FBI
explosives expert) believe that a single car bomb could not have caused
all the damage. Someone calculated that that would have taken 7 bombs in
total to cause the blast pattern on the building. Unfortunately, the
building was knocked down before forensic scientists could examine it
properly. Gore Vidal has a good description of what happened, and what was
going on in Tim McVeagh's mind in his book "Perpetual war for perpetual
peace" (I have a copy if you can't find one).

On a different note, I met someone from Oklahoma the other day, and he
said it's been good for the city...they get lots of tourists now.
