Dito, causing data corruption on the hard disk, but only when hard disk and cdrom were heavily thrashed at the same time. Still not acceptable, so I had to put them on different cables. If the problem occured suddenly after the machine has been running for some months without trouble it isn't likely a drive incompatibility.
