The new "X Resize and Rotate" extension, which has just been merged with
the standard XFree86 code-base, will allow you to move clients between
servers.  It will also allow you to change the resolution of the server
without a restart, and change the orientation of the display on the fly,
solving one or two gripes on this list :)
