Ahhh, I can relate to that...  (here we go, old war stories...)

Same thing, but for me it was a QIC02 drive...  Couldn't for the life of me
figure out why I couldn't restore, and why the backup had something like
40Mb more than I thought it should...

I think I crashed the box about 10 times before I started excluding stuff
from the restore..  Took until 4am to fix a problem that should have taken
30 minutes when I visited the customer at just before 5pm...  A little
knowledge and all that...
