{Export information} Outport is an application to help export information from Microsoft Outlook so that it can be imported into a separate personal information manager (PIM). Outport works by exporting your information using very general filters that are likely to be in that separate personal information manager's import list. The exportable file types depend on what you are exporting, but include such file types as HTML, Rich Text (RTF), VCard, text, and the regular Microsoft Outlook format. For the areas that support it, you can also export the information in Evolution format. (Evolution is a personal information manager for Linux/Unix.) This program is excellent for transferring your important information to a non-Windows-based machine, or into a non-Microsoft-based personal information management program. [BS]
