If anyone cares, I ended up writing my own. It was pretty easy, and has a web-based interface for the computer behind the counter (php, postgresql). I effectivly wrote a replacement for GDM where you just click on a start button, it updates the database and starts KDE (or Gnome maybe), and then when you exit it updates the database so the cost can be calculated. It also removes the 'cafe' home directory and replaces it (using tar) to give each user a clean login. about 10 lines of shell and 1 line of C (plus glade doing some code generation). tim http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/~tnw13 Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 5.0i for non-commercial use Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.75-6 Charset: noconv iQA/AwUBPcbxMwccL5A6x/wfEQIVrACeJxoEh6IgtY6EJDoFhOd9zrrcGY4AnRpy Z8MAsylZSrSmADJiFC76vk1J =6B3t -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
