Bowing to mounting public opinion I have tried pdflatex on my tex file
containing eps (Mathworks Matlab) and even with
\usepackage[pdftex]{graphicx}
in the document header it cant see my eps figures with or without the
.eps file extension. It does weird things with psfrag as well.
