Or more likely if you using RD* you will want todo this.
Download and compile the latest version freetype but first make this change.
- open the file "include/freetype/config/ftoption.h"
- locate a line that says:
#undef TT_CONFIG_OPTION_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER
- change it to:
#define TT_CONFIG_OPTION_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER
of course, this must be done _before_ compiling the library
use locate to find unix.js. For Mandrake it's under
/usr/lib/mozilla-1.1/defaults/pref
open it and change it to
pref("font.FreeType2.autohinted", false);
pref("font.FreeType2.unhinted", false)
then install some windows font or the mozilla web fonts and select them in
mozilla should look alot better. This is disabled by default in freetype and
mozilla for some copy right reason.
