Riddle me this, fellow luggers. (Red Hat 8, Intel Celeron, 650MHz) o The 3Com 3C905C-TX network card driver loads. o "ifup eth0" fails with a check cable error (the cable is fine on all the machines). o "dhclient" successfully brings up "eth0", but destroys "lo", so "ifup eth0" has to be run as well as "dhclient"
My conclusion is that "ifup" is having problems with DHCP. What I want to know, is why, and what do I do to fix it. I check the config many a time, and it looks fine. -- Michael JasonSmith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
