I am irritated to discover that a talk to the PC Users Group about Open Source is going to clash with our CLUG meeting.
So if anybody wants to hear me talk about Open Source software, (and pay $4 for the pleasure) it's at the St John Church Hall in Latimer Square on the 5th . I intend to then go over to the CLUG meeting afterwards if it's not too late. The main reason for this post though is to scrounge the use of a laptop with Open Office installed. I have a "sImpress" slide-show thingy and I don't want to do it on a Windows machine (it's part of the demo talk to show them what Open Source is capable of). The machine I have borrowed in the past is not available and I can borrow another but will have to do the install myself. So does anybody have a Linux laptop with OOo installed that I can borrow for the evening? -- Zane Gilmore, Analyst / Programmer Information Services Section, Information Technology Dept, University of Canterbury - Te Whare Waananga o Waitaha Private Bag 4800, Christchurch New Zealand Phone +64-3-364 2987 extn 7895
