From the roof of my house in West Melton I can see Mt Sugarloaf
in the port hills, where the walker wireless transmitter is, but
they tell me it doesn't have the range to reach me ... yet.

The guy from ww said maybe april.
Yuri and Chris...

Walker are bringing in some new tech not sure if it is Wave Wireless or not but it sounds good from what I've heared from Walkers...

It's not so much the range as the distance, over larger distances (don't quote me I may be wrong) I think it is the Freznel effect, which basically means that the line of sight link must be physically higher than for the shorter distances. The newer tech, I believe, reduces this effect.

I take my feed from RadioNet, now Compass, the POP is Mt Pleasant and I am pretty much at extreme range in Parklands which is just about 5km. It may be coincidental but I think I see more network problems when there are more leaves on the trees...
