Your words: "_some_ directory services" (my underline) ADS is X500, eDirectory AFAIK (and that's very little) is the Novell nextgen directory "server" (is it LDAP ? ... or X500 ?) Yes, you can't compare X500 with LDAP, this is exactly why LDAP came into being X500 was too heavy for many apps. Other than this what do you want ?
