o GNOME started using Enlightenment as the "standard" window manager, bit E' got too big an bloated. o GNOME switched to Sawfish as the standard window manager, but Sawfish got too big and bloated. o GNOME now use Metacity as the standard window manager... Metacity is plain, but deliberately so.
