Greetings >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 13/12/2002 4:47:30 p.m. >>> Yes I'm interested. a debian based firewall is it?
I want something thats easy to adapt to having a number of internal networks, including a wireless one. >>> Not quite, I'm afraid (though that's an interesting thought - isn't there one already?). I have a set of (alpha) iptables modules that allow you to do creative things with the firewall - but since I'm only now in the process of getting a modem set up, I haven't really tested them outside the lab. [Neat things you can do include per-IP or subnet traffic counting, links to Snort to do blacklisting, and (theoretically) load-based rules (i.e. "Gosh, I'm busy - I'll just stop passing these kinds of data"). I'm writing it up at the moment, and will attempt to push it out to netfilter main sometime, but I'm interested in anybody that wants to play with it.] (I'll find the IEEE conference paper link if anybody's interested) Theuns KRN
