Hey, I’ve networked a RH 7.3 to a Win2K workstation, but I
have a problem when I try to implement a Samba service for this LAN. The
problem is that I can see the Samba server, and I get data from (i.e. workgroup,
NetBIOS name, server string) from Samba, but I get “path not found”
from the 2K box. Odd!! me thinks… Enough to cause one to mutter
utterances most un-becoming a gentleman, such as myself. I have configured Norton’s AV and Zone Alarm Pro to
see the network, hence the data from, but I see no share. I log on to the
2K box as ‘administrator’, and I have added user thus to Samba, use
2K password as the Samba passwd, added ‘guests
OK’ to the Samba share, allowed hosts from the 192.168.100. network
that I have set up, um, its gonna spoil the Christmas pub if I cant get this sorted, Does anyone have a “gotcha” that one needs be
