There is a student chapter of the ACM at Canterbury...it went slightly
defunct last year, but we should be able to revive it reasonably easily (I
was president a few years ago). It has a bank account with a bit of
funding in it already (from accenture to promote COSC and the club).

It tried to run an installfest in 2001, but not many people showed
(everyone forgot to tell anyone:).

I think the current president is Tim Wang, but he's left. That makes
Michael JasonSmith the acting president. Any ideas mike?
