Err, the mini-ITX has AC97 sound out, and with a Cubid case you get a
fanless ATX style PSU which accepts 12Vdc input.

My car MP3 player was built on a standard Pentium 100 mobo with a 
soundblaster card.  I built my own 12V AT-style PSU.

I looked at the Soekris stuff (thanks), and it is a bit pricey, not to
mention hard to get hold of.
