Hi there, I might be a litte late with this one but :
There should be something noting the issue in your /var/logXFree86.0.log file. I am running Suse but am trusting the Mandrake dist is placing the log files into similar destinations. It should give you a pretty good idea of the extact issue. If you can email the file to me, I should be of more/better assistance. Cheers, Darrell.
