Oh, yeah. Volker we all appreciate your very pertinent commentaries ;-) Did it occurred to you that there may be some sites which may require Java to work ? I know a couple. Plus there are the new web servers embedded in all sorts of devices which again require Java, e.g. the new HP printers. So far there are few and indeed you can browse most of the time with java off and turn it on only when required. But when the number of sites requiring java will increase what will you do ? AFAIK you can't turn java on/off site-specific, let me know if I am wrong. What if you turned java on because you required it for a particular site then forgot to turn it back off ? And what if this thing starts to be implemented in javascript ? (I don't know enough javascript to know if it's feasible). Cheers, -- Ryurick M.
