fat formatted zip disks are formatted as partition number 4. Parallel port zip drives appear as a scsi device and so mount as something like /dev/sda4 The zip drive in question was an internal ide drive and so mounted as /dev/hdb4 You can repartion the disks to make them partition 1 and even ext2 if you want but most people just leave them as they are.
