Wes, >From what I've seen, Mdk can mess up mouse detection (PS/2 3-btn / Wheelmouse brand etc. choices) at setup.
Try using the Control Panel to alter mouse selection (to something basic first) & the problem may go away. I'm starting to favour RedHat after this type of experience.
