Fantastic, we are agreed :)
However, in the spirit of the CLUG mailing list we diverted from the
original question, which I will claim part responsibility (this time).
So to summarise for Ken (can I call you Ken, Ken?):
* Stuff may break if you do not send the standard headers.
* Normally email clients, such as Mozilla Mail, will not allow you
to send messages without standard headers (as defined in
RFC 822).
* I would consider the standard headers important, but not vital.
