hi nick & Nick
more news on the kernel front.
have just read this mail from mandrake security:
MDKSA-2003:066 - Updated kernel packages fix multiple vulnerabilities.
They've included the following amongst the various fixes &c:
* Support for more machines that did not work with APIC
i think the updated packages we'd be interested in would be:
9.1/RPMS/kernel-2.4.21.0.18mdk-1-1mdk.i586.rpm
9.1/RPMS/kernel-source-2.4.21-0.18mdk.i586.rpm
9.1/SRPMS/kernel-2.4.21.0.18mdk-1-1mdk.src.rpm
so anyway, as i'm going to be using this kernel myself (whilst waiting to be
turned into a gentooman) i'll grab the source tonight and checkout exactly whats
what re the apic stuff. ok?
cheers
