Maybe procmail returns a differnt result if it doesn't get a match - this could be used - I go and invetigate...

So, the closest thing I can suggest is just obvious: shove a copy of your mail through procmail... tweak your ~/.procmailrc if necessary, and repeat until sick of it :)
