Hi-ho,

I'm on paradise (Jetstart) and I'm not having problems... Although I
don't use their DNS servers...

It's probably working now, but one thing you can do when you suspect
resolution (DNS) problems is to try and dig some addresses, and try
another ISP's DNS servers...

ie: dig www.yahoo.com from the command prompt when things are working
right should give you a bunch of info.. If it comes back with a server
error, try xtra's dns (terminator.xtra.co.nz, 202.27.184.5) by doing:

dig @202.27.184.5 www.yahoo.com and see if you get better results..

If you do add the xtra dns IP to your /etc/resolv.conf and it will get
around the temporary dns problems. If you're running a dynamic IP setup
you'll probably loose the settig in resolv.conf next time you connect,
but it'll let you surf while you're online.
