Ok so how far are you getting your getting past all the scrolling text at boot up I
take it the prgress bar gets most
of the way accross before it mentions "starting dm" and disapears for a few secs? Do
you see a Mouse pointer?
Try Ctrl+alt+F1 or F2 if you get a console good it's probably an X problem. If so can
you copy the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
over using a floppy or something and post the contents here. The command is
cp /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 /mnt/floppy/
also running this as well would help and adding the results to an email would help.
cat /proc/pci > pci.info
cp pci.info /mnt/floppy/
Also what hardware you using Video card and Sound card models/names would be usefull.
Also where did you get the CD's from and how many do you have?
To check the Cd's you need to download an app like winmd5 (link below) run it on the
isos and have alook at the figure it returns and
see if it's the same as the one thats listed in the MD5SUM file in the same directory
on the web where you downloaded the isos from.
To check the burnt cd's run it on the cd I think.

Also something to check in the bios is if PNP OS is enabled if so try disabling it it
apparently helps on some older Machines.
Also what type of mouse and keyboard usb, ps2?
