The other examples are different, because the different words have different meanings.

Spelling naive with two dots above the i is just showing off.

There is a Character Selector tool in Linux
(Accessories->Character Selector  from my KDE menu.)
which allows you to select these unusual characters.

Hence we can do:

encycolp�dia
�bergeek
100�s
RedHat�
