Only reason is that I have Debian stable on cd and am only running a 56k modem so a dist-upgrade will take me about a year (well not quite). The other thing is that because I am still learning I tend to stuff things up rather regularly and it is a fairly simple matter to reinstall rather than reinstall and upgrade (maybe i should just stop being such a wimp..hehe).
