Does anyone here know how they achieve that technically? 2 Mbps is
quite possible, as long as only one subscriber on a bundle cable wants
it, but once the neighbour wants it too, it may get a bit difficult,
not even speaking of a higher market penetration. Or does Telecom
really measure and qualify the cables for every new customer? Then
they would have to dig in new cables every time the specs are not met
with the existing cabling. But this would be really costly. I know of
other countries where residential customers get a guarantee of
something between 500 kbps and 1 Mbps downstream, and much less
upstream, and only business customers (paying a higher price) would
get the higher rates up to 4 Mbps.
