What would be a good way to defrag a filesystem and(!) to place the files' data on it such that it matches alphabetical order of dir listings (or however iso9660 does it)? I figure copying would be the only safe solution (and it's fs-independent), but how can the data ordering be achieved? Perhaps this boils down to the question of how to copy a directory with contents such that all files are copied in alphabetical order?
